It’s more than just the length of the tube
A lot of people think compatibility is just about making sure the lamp fits in the slot. But it’s actually about the electricity and the heat. If you throw a cheap, off-spec lamp into a Matrix oven, you’re asking for trouble. You’ll likely end up with uneven heating or a lamp that burns out way too fast because the power density doesn’t play nice with the machine’s brain. We keep the tolerances on the quartz tubes incredibly tight. No forcing, no shoving. They just slide right into the reflectors.
The nitty-gritty on materials
We use high-purity quartz and specific halogen fills. Why? Because we want that short-wave radiation hitting the PET preform exactly where it needs to. But the real nightmare is usually the connectors. Nobody wants to spend their afternoon rewiring lamp holders. We mirrored the original Sidel pin layouts and socket sizes exactly. You pull the old one out, plug the new one in, and you’re done. Simple.
A quick heads-up on heat
Here’s the thing: high-output lamps are great for speeding up your cycle times. You get a lot of heat, very fast. But that puts a lot of pressure on your cooling fans. If you decide to push the wattage higher than what the factory originally called for to get more throughput, keep a close eye on your oven temps. You don’t want to warp your reflectors. We provide the heat—just make sure your cooling system can keep up with the load.
