Stop Paying Extra for a Brand Name on Your Heat Lamps
Let’s be honest: most “big brand” puppy heat bulbs are just the same quartz and tungsten filaments we use in our own factory. The only real difference? The price tag. You’re usually paying a premium for a fancy logo and a marketing budget, not a better bulb. We build our lamps to the same strict specs, but we keep the cost honest.
Getting the Heat Right
When you’re brooding animals, you need a steady, reliable warmth—nothing erratic. We calibrate our wattage to keep small enclosures cozy without turning them into ovens. Just a heads-up: if you go with a higher wattage for more heat, make sure your housing has plenty of ventilation. If the air can’t move, the lamp can overheat and burn out way faster than it should. To make sure that heat actually reaches your animals, we use high-purity quartz glass. It lets the infrared radiation through without blocking it.
What’s Actually Inside
We use halogen-filled tubes. Why? Because it keeps the bulbs from getting that cloudy, dark look over time. The halogen cycle basically pushes the tungsten back onto the filament, which means the lamp lasts longer. As for the fit, these use standard R7s or screw-base connectors. They’re simple drop-in replacements. You just pop them into your existing brooding system and you’re good to go. Also, we don’t mess around with cheap glues for the seals. We use industrial-grade fusion so you don’t have to worry about gas leaks.
Buying Direct
Buying straight from the factory means you aren’t paying for a middleman’s commission. You get the same brightness and the same heat, just without the retail markup. The only “catch” is that you handle the logistics. Since quartz is brittle, we pack everything in reinforced boxing to make sure they arrive in one piece. One last tip if you’re wiring up a big kennel or a farm:**watch your circuit load.**If you plug twenty 150W bulbs into a single line, you’re probably going to trip your breaker. Just make sure your wiring can handle a continuous load before you flip the switch.
