Let’s talk about this powerhouse of a lamp.
We built this 650mm, 1000W halogen infrared lamp for the jobs that need serious, focused heat in a long, lean package. That 1000W rating isn’t just a number—it means you get a blast of concentrated energy. It’s what you need when you’re doing things like shaping plastic or curing a coating, and you need the heat to hit hard and fast. And that 650mm length? It gives you a wide heating footprint, so you cover a big area without having to daisy-chain a bunch of lamps together. It’s the sweet spot—powerful enough to get the job done, but designed to fit into spaces where a shorter lamp would miss the mark, and a longer one just wouldn’t fit.
What’s going on inside?
At the heart of it all is the halogen cycle. It’s a clever trick that keeps the tungsten filament from wearing out too fast. Basically, the filament evaporates and then redeposits itself, which fights off that blackening you see in other bulbs and seriously extends the lamp’s life. The upshot? You get consistent, reliable heat every single time you turn it on. No fading. No surprises. Just steady performance. The whole thing is wrapped in a quartz envelope, which can handle the crazy high temperatures and lets that infrared energy get through efficiently. We’ve tuned the gas inside and the filament design to focus on shortwave infrared. That means one thing: fast surface heating. You want the heat to land right where you need it, and you want it to land now.
Getting it set up in the real world.
The good news is, installation is a breeze. It uses the standard R7s base, so you just wire it up, get it lined up, and it slides right into the fixture you already have. Simple. But here’s the thing—we’re talking about a lot of heat. So you have to plan for it. The lamp puts out an intense amount of energy, and that means your housing and reflector have to be up to the task. The rest of your equipment needs proper cooling, too, to keep everything from overheating. Running this thing at full power puts a real strain on both the lamp and the machine it’s in. So you’ve got to make sure your whole system is designed to handle that thermal load. This lamp is built for the long haul, for those tough, demanding cycles. But like any high-power component, it needs a system that can keep pace with it.
