It’s a direct-radiant heater, pure and simple, engineered to give you repeatable, high-intensity heat exactly where your process needs it.
Power, Voltage, and Geometry
When we spec these lamps, we match wattage and voltage to what your machine actually demands. On industrial lines, you’ll often see 400V. Here’s why that matters: it drops the current on the conductors, so you can use smaller wiring and keep the contactors straightforward. And the tube length? We typically go with about 300mm. That length helps focus the radiant heat into a clean zone, so the energy goes where you point it—not spilling everywhere.
Material, Design, and the Details That Hold Up
The envelope is quartz, built to handle serious heat and to stay steady even when you’re cycling the lamp on and off again and again. Inside, the halogen gas supports the halogen cycle, which helps fight blackening and keeps output consistent over the life of the tube. For the connections, we use R7s connectors. They lock the lamp in place with a solid two-contact setup, so you get dependable electrical contact and a stable mount. No wiggle. No hot spots at the terminals.
Where It Shines—and What to Keep in Mind
On the line, this lamp is at home in jobs like heating plastic, curing, and localized drying—anything that needs fast response and a lot of heat packed into a small spot. It turns on hard, heats up fast, and gives you predictable control. But there’s a trade-off: that concentrated heat means you need proper heat shielding and ventilation planned into your setup. The lamp is built tough, but your enclosure still has to handle the thermal load.
