Anyone who’s worked with wood knows the nightmare of a piece warping or cracking because the drying process went sideways. You need the heat to soak in deep, but you can’t just blast it, or you’ll scorch the surface. Here’s the deal: we build our infrared lamps to hit the same performance marks as those big-name premium brands. But we don’t believe you should pay a “brand tax.” We just figured out how to lean out our supply chain and tighten up our manufacturing to keep the price honest.
The nitty-gritty of heat
To dry wood without ruining it, you need the right wavelength. We use shortwave infrared because it actually gets inside the grain. The secret is in the filament. If it’s off-center or the voltage jumps around, you get hot spots—and hot spots lead to mistakes. We use high-purity quartz glass so the heat goes straight into your wood, not getting trapped in the lamp itself. It’s simple physics, but it makes a massive difference in the final look of the piece.
Built for the actual shop floor
We didn’t want you to have to rewire your entire setup just to use our lamps. They’re drop-in replacements. Whether you’re running R7s or Sk15 connectors, they fit right in. And we use halogen gas filling. Why? Because it stops the tungsten from evaporating too fast. Most of those cheap, generic lamps burn out quickly because they skip this step. Ours last. One quick heads-up, though. Running these at full blast puts a lot of pressure on your power rails. Just make sure your wiring is beefy enough to handle it. If your voltage drops, your drying speed tanks.
