
Getting the Heat Right for KOSME KSB 4000 and Sidel Matrix Lamps
When you’re running a PET blowing machine, temperature is everything. But here’s the thing: it’s not just about how many watts you’re pumping in. If you swap out your lamps in a Sidel Matrix or KOSME KSB 4000 and the infrared spectrum is even slightly off, your heating curve shifts. That’s a headache you don’t need. That’s why we build our replacement lamps to mirror the original OEM specs exactly. No guessing. It’s all about the thermal footprint. We spend a lot of time mapping the voltage and wattage of the KOSME KSB 4000. Why? Because the heat density has to be consistent across the entire length of the tube. If a replacement lamp runs too hot in one spot or too cold in another, your preforms heat unevenly. You’ll start seeing those annoying wall thickness variations or that cloudy, pearlescent look in your finished bottles. We tweak our filaments so they hit the same ramp-up and soak times you’re used to. It just works. The nitty-gritty on quartz and coatings.
